McDowell's provided us with very professional service for our nearly 75-year-old chimney and fireplace. Everyone we worked with was pleasant, knowledgeable, on time, and respectful of our property. We initially worked with Jason to get an inspection and estimates for exterior chimney work and a variety of options for our existing, but damaged, wood-burning fireplace. We decided to begin with the exterior chimney work which included, among other things, tearing down and rebuilding 9 courses of bricks, cutting/replacing/repointing numerous other bricks, installing a new crown, cleaning, and waterproofing. That work was done by Rich and Eddie both of whom were top-notch. Rich in particular took the time to patiently answer all of our questions. We give them our highest recommendation and plan to call them back once we decide what we want to do with our existing fireplace.

One of the cleanest and best organized comic stores I have ever step foot in. I live some 3 hours away and stopped in by chance waiting to pick up someone from the airport. I have since been back while traveling to DC. The owners are very friendly and helpful. At the time I was filling in common comics 2-4 years old. I found a bunch of well maintained back issues (with bags and boards) in their bargain bin on the cheap!
