New Catonsville Fire Station to Break Ground Dec 2024

Baltimore County has acquired a six-acre parcel of land at 736 Edmondson Ave to build a $2 million state-of-the-art fire station.  The project was purchased with $1.5 million in state funds and $500,000 in county funds.  The current fire station was built in 1928 and will be preserved as a Baltimore County Fire Museum that will showcase artifacts from Baltimore County Fire Department's history which goes back to the 19th century.  The Catonsville Santa House, located at the current fire station will remain to continue the annual community tradition. Construction on the new fire station is set to begin in December 2024.
